Why do some Herbsmith formulas now list flaxseed (inactive ingredient)?
A few of our herbal formulas now include ground flaxseed as an inactive ingredient.
This small addition helps blend and stabilize our herbal extracts, ensuring consistency and potency in every jar.
The ground flax comes from the same trusted suppliers who provide our other ingredients and serves only as a carrier, not a new active component.
It has no impact on the formula’s purpose, safety, or effectiveness.
If your pet has a known flax allergy, we recommend consulting your veterinarian before use.
Did the formula change?
No — only select formulas now use ground flax as a carrier for herbal extracts.
The herbs, ratios, and intended function remain exactly the same.
Will this appear on labels?
Yes — new labels for the affected formulas will list ground flax under inactive ingredients.
Until updated packaging rolls out, you may see a small sticker noting that the product contains flaxseed.
